Apex Armor

I'm trying to get a 6th Generation iPod Nano on hand so I can finally review the IKONIC case by Apex Armor, famous for their billet aluminum iPhone 4 cases.

iTimber Case

I know I reviewed this case a while back, but it's still one of my favorite cases of all time. It's one of the most high quality cases I have ever tested.

There are dozens available on the market, and to be completely honest with everyone, they all share the same basic design and features. So, can Adonit really reinvent the basic keyboard case? Let’s take a deeper look and find out.Read More

AProdukt Kork for iPad: The First Cork Case for iDevices

DSC01255 2

AProdukt is a fairly new company that specializes in making unique looking accessories for iPhones & iPods. I haven’t tried a lot of natural style accessories for my iPad, so when I saw AProdukt’s new iPad case, I just had to know a little bit more about it. Today we will be taking a sneak peek at the Kork case for the Apple iPad.The Kork for the iPad features a snap on design that has proper cutouts for all of the buttons and ports, and a very natural and sleek look that presents itself through the cork. So, is the Kork case for the iPad really worth it’s natural look, or will this case fall short in an attempt to bring uniqueness and naturalness to the already boring iPad case market? Leather Folio for iPad: From Krusell With Love

DSC01241

I have reviewed many of Krusell's cases in the past, all of them being iPhone cases and pouches. Today, we have yet another product for you from the makers of the Donso Mobile Pouch. Instead of an iPhone 4 product, Krusell's new Luna case for the iPad reminds me very much of a folio style case with very exotic and unique looking leather. Since this is my first iPad case review, I don't really have a lot to compare it too, that doesn't mean I don't know a good case and quality leather when I see it. The Luna folio for the iPad features a front cover that protects the iPad's screen, a very nice amount of leather and fabric, and an integrated stand that supports both landscape and portrait mode. Can the Krusell Luna folio for the iPad prove to be better than some of the other folio cases available on market? Read on to find out.Read More

Hardcore iPad Protection: Kensington Black Belt

DSC01126

The iPad is a big tablet, and big tablet’s are always prone to damage, a lot more damage than smart phones. I have seen numerous amounts of videos that showcased an iPhone 4 dropping to its death and surviving the first few falls. However, that was not the case with the iPad, when you drop it straight down, wether it’s the first time or not, it’s gone (or cracked in this case) for good. Luckily, I was able to get my hands on Kensington’s new addition to the iPad’s family of cases, the ever so powerful and rugged BlackBelt Protection Band for the iPad. The BlackBelt Protection Band for the iPad features an extremely thick layer of silicone that wraps around the outer edge of the iPad sort of like a bumper style case for the iPhone 4. So, the question remains, is this thing really as tough as its name depicts, or will this case lose the match against solid concrete? Read on for the full review of the BlackBelt Protection Band to find out.Read More

Sleek & Sexy: Evouni Nano Fiber Pouch for iPad

DSC01039

Today we are back with yet another product from the unique and stylish company Evouni. Evouni’s last product, the Natural Wooden Pouch for the iPhone 4, impressed me ever so much. Now, they are back with the Nano Fiber Pouch for the iPad, very similar to the Natural Wooden Pouch in terms of uniqueness, but very different in design. The Nano Fiber Pouch features a very slim design and a very soft Japanese Toray Ecsaine textile on the outer layer and a non slip inner layer. As an added bonus, there is also a stitched pocket on the front that comes with a very soft microfiber cloth. Very handy in case you needed to remove some of those nasty fingerprints or streaks. Can the Evouni Nano Fiber Pouch for the iPad match up the quality and design of it’s other predecessors? Read on for the full review to find out.Read More

Interview with Draco Design about the new DRACO IV case for the iPhone 4

page2_sidebar-01

Q: Considering other aluminum cases cost in the $70-$150 range, what will be the retail price of the Draco IV aluminum bumper for iPhone 4?

A: The DRAVCO IV comes with 6 different colors: blue, black, red, gray, silver and gold. Blue, black, red and gray colors are retail for $99. Silver and gold colors are limited edition with retail price at $119.

Q: So many aluminum cases found on the market today suffer from signal loss (with the exception of a few), what's the mechanism you have used for minimizing or terminating signal loss in the Draco IV?

A: We considered and studied how to reduce signal loss issue when developing and designing the DRACO IV case. So, when the DRACO IV is installed on the phone, the case frame is designed to mount (hold) to the glass surfaces of the phone both front and back, without physically touching the metal band on the side of the phone. And that’s the key to minimize signal loss issue.

Q: Does the Draco IV have support for other third party accessories, such as headphones, third party cables, etc?

A: Yes, the DRACO IV is designed with compatibility and flexibility, so the case supports for 3rd party iPhone 4 accessories.

Q: Will you be able to dock the Draco IV in third party docks?

A: Yes, the DRACO IV can be docked in 3rd party docks.

Q: How much lip does the case provide (lay on the table design, screen not touching the phone, only the case) on both the front and the back of the phone?

A: About 1mm on both front and back.
